Rough
I woke myself up coughing again last night, and have a pretty serious case of the drags because of it today. I'm basically better from where I was sick over the last couple of weeks, so I'm not sure what was up with that.
This business of casual posting almost daily is certainly interesting - I never really did this in the past partly because I felt obligated to perform to some kind of standard, to some kind of audience, and partly because I just have a real habit of working myself up. Perfection is the enemy of the good, and all that. So far, it's been a pretty nice to just drink my coffee and spit something out as I try to wake up.
I've also thought I should probably start using tags more than I do, even if most of what I write here is garbage.
Another thing I'm doing is trying to get back into drawing. Just like writing, I have this nasty habit of working myself into knots and getting nothing done. To that end, I've broken out my analogue art supplies and have started a sketchbook. The idea, or the plan, I guess, is to dedicate one page to fandom, then, when I'm done, or when I'm bored, move on to another page that's intended to be original art. I've already got some backlog that I need to put up on my website, I just haven't gotten around to uploading them yet.
I'm currently trying, rather futilely, to see if I can't make acrylics and sumi-e ink plat nicely together.
